Getting Started

The Apricus solar thermal collector is normally connected to a home water storage tank, either directly or via a heat exchange when an anti-freeze liquid is used. The operation is very simple:

Evacuated tubes convert sunlight into usable heat. Copper heat pipes transfer heat rapidly to the header pipe. Water is pumped through the header pipe, absorbing heat. Heated water returns to storage tank/heat exchanger.

About size and installation:
NCP Solar determines the correct system size after considering the number of people in the household and existing water tank storage.

The angle and direction of installation affects the efficiency of the solar thermal collector. NCP Solar will position the system to receive the maximum amount of sunlight each day and throughout the year.
